| Zusammenfassung: | The restoration of historical musical instruments often creates a tension between the claim of preservation and the desire for playability. In cooperation with the Greifenberger Institut für Musikinstrumentenkunde, this bachelor´s thesis deals with the study and reconstruction of historical keyboard instruments as a way to protect the original musical instrument and simultaneously build a playable copy. The procedure of a well-founded handicraft reconstruction is shown on the hammerheads of a pianoforte around 1815 by the Munich piano builder Gregor Deiß (1768-1840), in an exemplary way. Further the methods of investigation, the creation of a working hypothesis and the implementation in practice are explained. In addition, the work also deals with the historical context and the development of hammerheads. Finally, an evaluation of the results, possibilities, problems and limitations of such a reconstruction is given. |
