Abstract: | The Thesis deals with the duke’s lodge in the church of Friedenstein Castle set up in 17th century and it’s vault decorated with painting and stucco by Seivert Lammers and the brothers Rust. The history, the stock and the condition has been examined to develop a conservation and restoration strategy based on the obtained knowledge. The main difficulty was to evolve a method for combined cleaning and fixation of the stucco-paint and to verify the result by a version of peeling-test. |
