Abstract: | Because of the used material and its architectural style the 19th century Catholic church St. Hubertus can be described as a typical example for sacred buildings in this region. In the last century the building was often renovated and converted, which left ist mark. The church’s current form and ist extended damage were the reason for the recording of the church’s building process in this thesis. The reviewing of the object’s history as well as the recording of the exterior shell is the main emphasis of the thesis. It has become apparent that the maintenance of the mural painting and the wooden pointed barrel vault are of importance. They belonged to the original space version and are ist last existing relicts. Because of the construction material there will be an excursion on the issue of basalt. Finally, suggestions for the church community are formulated on how to maintain the substance. Those suggestions are supposed to support the process of maintaining the precious monument. |
