| Abstract: | The gothic tabernacle inside of the Church of Our Lady at Oberwesel takes in several respects an outstanding position. It is among the first tabenacles, which are completely free-standing, it is part of an ensemble of in-situ preserved, distinguished original interior equipment (altar screen, rood screen, choir stalls), and its metal gratings are an exceptional and high-quality metal work. The main aspect of this thesis is a detailed inventory; furthermore, a processing concept for the object's conservation respectively restoration is elaborated. |
