Abstract:	This thesis deals with two paintings by Johann Melchior Roos: "Animal Fight with Bears and Bull" and "Animal Fight with Horses and Lion". These two large-format paintings are from the Roemer- und Pelizaeus-Museum in Hildesheim. Besides the technological investigation of the paintings a plan for the conservation and restoration is presented. Furthermore, considerations are made for a presentation in a possible special exhibition of these paintings and for the storage in a depot. Top
