| Abstract: | A well structured analytical process can help develop a strong conservation concept. With this in place, a methodology can be applied effectively In this case, Appelbaum's (2007) methodology is executed and tested to determine its efficiency and suitability in the conservation of a privately owned figurine by sculptor Adam Antes, classified here as belonging to the expressionist and art nouveau movements. The chosen methodology has enabled the development of a coherent and clearly defined conservation concept focused on value analysis, which was executed and documented. |
