Markus Huschenbeth: Conservation of historical gypsum floors – tests for the creation of materials for the completion and reconstruction back

Language: Original   -   Translation
Overview:

Abstract: In the restoration of historical gypsum floors the application of adapted materials for the completion is unavoidable. In this thesis, there were tests made with the binder α- hemihydrate and β-hemihydrate. The tests were also made with white gypsum aggregate, red gypsum aggregate and brown brick aggregate for the readjustment of historical gypsum floors concerning their optical and physical- mechanical properties. In this context there was found, that the adaptation of the physical- mechanical and optical properties with these binder is possible. The grain form and the grain colour can be readjusted with white and red gypsum aggregate, but the brown brick aggregate is suitable to only a limited extent.
