Zusammenfassung: This study represents a stocktaking of in Switzerland situated removed wallpaintings. It is meant to show applied removal techniques just as used conservation materials, especially for the new supports. Further this survey tries to find out information about the reasons for a wallpaintings removal and its application to the new support.
The generated data bank offers the possibility to be completed whenever the knowledge of removed wallpaintings in any canton has approved. A statistical analysis is supposed to give an impression of regional tendencies or customs of the entire country.
