This thesis describes the developement of an intranet -, extranet - and internet – portal for the creation, administration and publication of conservation reports on paintings and polychrome sculptures. A secured client-server application with an online database management system is developed. Interactive possibilites to write, manage and search conservation reports are created by using script-languages such as ASP. The thesis will also focus on the historic development of conservation documentation and recent developements of computers and networks in the field of conservation.
