Zusammenfassung: | The planning of extensive conservation projects is part of the daily business of the responsible experts in conservation. Since 2017, EN 16853 has been available as a standard for these conservation and decision-making processes, providing a standardised and internationally recognised scheme for planning and implementation. In order to test the applicability of the European Standard on a concrete practical example, a conservation project for the rolled architectural records from the garden and landscape architecture estate of Rose and Gustav Wörner at the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) Hannover is planned within the scope of this work. For this purpose, the planning process systematically followed the specified components of EN 16853:2017. The evaluation showed that although it proves to be a good guideline for planning projects and defines a formal framework, it is formulated very generally due to its universal target and application profile and thus does not provide any concrete instructions for action. |
