Zusammenfassung: | This bachelor thesis deals with wall paintings created in 1480 in the Antonius‐Chapel of Lavesum. The paintings that are created as lime paintings with secco‐endings show within the plaster and their layer many damages, which need urgent treatment. As the main factor for these damages within the church, climate factors must be considered. When executing the work, it will be necessary to include to the original substance the important additional items of the 20th century in order to stick to the view of nowadays. In addition to the treatment of the history of the object and cultural classification, the painting technique and technique of the plaster as stabilizer of the picture were studied. The aim of this work was the classification of the existence of the wall paintings which were discovered and overpainted in 1937 as well as the assessment of the current condition. Most important was the identification of the damage phenomena and the analysis for their cause in order to develop an enduring concept for restoring and conserving. The results of my studies can be a basis for the next restoring procedure. |
