| Zusammenfassung: | This thesis deals with a polychromed sheet metal sign, whose original function was the outdoor advertising for a store that was trading with paintings in the area around Kassel (Hessia). Regarding the design and manufacturing technique, the object was documentet and there was the attempt of an historical classfication. An analysis of the depot was made to find out, in how far it is conservational tolerable, to store a metal object in an environment, that was planned for the storage of paintings and wooden objects. Based on the results of the technological investigations and the valuation of the object’s state of preservation, the author created a concept, which provides for interventions concerning the treatment of corrosion and the consolidiation of the colouring. |
