| Abstract: | Examination and conservation report on the restoration of a Madonna sculpture from around 1750, compiled during an internship at the BLfD, Munich. Digital reconstruction of the floral pattern on the garments of the sculpture from Steingaden and another sculpture painted and adorned by Judas Thaddäus Ramis (textile imitation, pastiglia); considerations on the painting technique and classification in the art technology of the time; textile inspirations for the painted and gilded patterns. Based on a collection of materials compiled by local historian and retired senior teacher Gerhard Klein (+ 2023): research on the Ramis family of painters (focusing on Bernhard and Thaddäus), their works and genealogy; preliminary catalogues raisonnés. |
