| Abstract: | Additive manufacturing processes offer a previously underutilised potential for conser- vation & restoration. This Master’s thesis aimed to explore this potential and make access as low-threshold as possible. For this purpose, an extruder unit was developed to process established conservation composite formulations on a regular desktop 3D printer. Following a technical feasibility test, the material composites were optimised, and the method of replicating existing original geometries was evaluated. The results obtained provide insight into the process’s possibilities and limitations for practical use in conservation and restoration, forming a basis for further research. |
