Zusammenfassung: This thesis documents the systematic examination of the Falcon House (Falkenhaus) near Weinberg Castle in Upper Austria, as well as a survey of its condition. To facilitate this, various scientific analyses (REM/EDX, XRF, light microscopy, IC) were conducted. The Falcon House, originally a defensive tower, has a semicircular floor plan and has undergone at least six design phases, some of which are only fragmentarily preserved. Its current form as a grotto-like garden pavilion likely emerged in the early 18th century. Due to damp masonry, harmful salt contamination, and plant growth the building is currently in a desolate condition. Based on the survey, necessary structural and conservation measures were developed, along with a presentation concept that takes the artistic and historical significance of the designs into account.
